Beth HaTephila has an active Religious School with a dedicated, qualified,
and creative staff. Jewish children, from pre-school to confirmation,
receive a well rounded Jewish education. Recognized and tested curricula
are followed, based on proven guide lines published by the UAHC. The
study of Hebrew is interwoven into the curriculum. Bar
and Bat Mitzvah training is an integral part of the Religious school
at Beth HaTephila. The Rabbi is involved on a one-on-one basis during
the student's final year.
The
Temple conducts a comprehensive Adult Education program: the Rabbi
has beginning and intermediate Hebrew classes in addition to Introduction
to Judaism. A monthly "Lunch with Rabbi" provides a forum
for the discussion of current events of Jewish interest.
Conversion
Classes, with ever increasing attendance, have become a popular
function and are conducted by the Rabbi.
A Friendship
Circle meets Saturday mornings once a month. After a short shabbat
service the group joins in a lively discussion around a central
theme chosen by the participants at the start of the year. |
