Simchat Torah 2006

The festival of Simchat Torah marks the end and the beginning of the annual cycle of the reading of the entire torah. We celebrate this festival by completely unrolling one of our scrolls. We then read the very last chapter of Deuteronomy, immediately followed by the reading of the first chapter of Genesis.

These two images show the entire torah unrolled, supported by many congregants, and the readings by Rabbi Ratner and Elizabeth Gergel.
